St. Blaise was a bishop in Armenia known for his holiness and care for both spiritual and physical needs. Before becoming a bishop, he was a physician, and he continued to heal others through prayer and faith.
During a time of persecution, he lived in solitude, devoting himself to prayer. Even in hiding, people sought him out for healing and guidance.
One of the most famous miracles attributed to him is the healing of a boy who was choking on a fishbone. Because of this, he became known as a patron saint of throat illnesses.
St. Blaise was eventually arrested and martyred for his faith, remaining faithful to Christ until the end.
