Sts. Jacinta and Francisco Marto were siblings from Portugal who, along with their cousin Lucia, witnessed the apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary at Fatima in 1917.
After encountering Our Lady, they dedicated their lives to prayer, sacrifice, and offering their sufferings for the conversion of sinners.
Despite their young age, they showed remarkable faith and devotion. Both endured illness and suffering with courage and love for God.
They are remembered as powerful witnesses that holiness is possible even in childhood.
They devoted themselves to prayer daily. They teach us to stay close to God through prayer.
They offered their sufferings for others. Their lives remind us that sacrifice has great value.
Their hearts were fully given to God. They show us how to love Him with simplicity and trust.
Sts. Jacinta and Francisco remind us that holiness is not limited by age. Their lives show that even the young can live deeply for God.
Their example highlights the importance of prayer and offering sacrifices for others.
They encourage us to trust in God, to pray faithfully, and to live with love and generosity.
“Sts. Jacinta and Francisco, help me to love God and pray with a generous heart.”
