St. Teresa of the Andes, born Juanita Fernández in Chile, was a young woman deeply in love with God from an early age. She lived an active life, enjoying friendships, family, and nature, while also growing in deep prayer.
She felt a strong call to religious life and eventually entered the Carmelite convent. There, she embraced a life of prayer, sacrifice, and union with Christ.
Despite her short life, she radiated joy and peace. She saw everything as an opportunity to grow closer to Jesus and offered even small sacrifices with love.
She died at the age of 19, leaving behind letters and writings that reveal a soul deeply united with God.
